CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the garment bottom edge and sleeve hem – 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper center back – 2 pieces
    • Upper side back – 2 pieces
    • Back waistband – 1 piece
    • Lower back – 2 pieces
    • Upper center front – 2 pieces
    • Upper side front – 2 pieces
    • Front waistband – 2 pieces
    • Lower front – 2 pieces

  • From fusible interfacing:

    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
    • Collar stand – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the back princess seam. Overcast allowances and press towards the center. Stitch the center seams of the upper and lower back pieces. Overcast allowances and press to the left side. Attach the back waistband to the upper back. Overcast allowance and press onto the waistband. Attach the lower back to the waistband, overcast allowance and press onto the waistband.
  2. Stitch the front princess seam. Overcast allowances and press towards the center. Attach the front waistband to the upper front. Overcast allowance and press onto the waistband. Attach the lower front to the waistband, overcast allowance and press onto the waistband.
  3. Stitch shoulder and side seams. Overcast allowances and press towards the back.
  4. Fold collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch the outer edge. Clip allowances, turn right side out and press. Attach the collar stand to the neckline.
  5. Stitch shoulder seams of front facing and back facing. Press allowance open. Overcast the outer edge. Place front facings right sides together with the garment and stitch the front edges and the neckline edge of the back and front. Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners, turn front facings with facing to the wrong side, straighten, press. Secure to the garment at shoulder seams.
  6. Stitch the sleeve seam. Overcast allowance and press towards the back of the sleeve. Set sleeves into armholes. Overcast allowances and press.
  7. Overcast the bottom edge of the garment and sleeves, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  8. On the right front, overcast buttonholes, sew buttons onto the left front.
