Introducing a women's sewing pattern for a chic blouse featuring a flattering square neckline, a charming lace-up ruched front, and stylish puff sleeves.
This versatile blouse is perfect for various occasions, offering both comfort and elegance:
Silhouette: a fitted silhouette that gently skims the body, offering a flattering shape.
Neckline: a chic square neckline with a subtle curve at the center front.
Front Detail: a distinctive central lace-up feature creates elegant ruching and visual interest.
Sleeves: Full-length puff sleeves, gathered at the shoulder and finishing with an elasticized cuff for a romantic touch.
Back: a smooth, clean back with a discreet center seam.
Length: Designed to fall at the hip, suitable for tucking in or wearing untucked.
Intermediate. Requires familiarity with handling stretch fabrics, gathering techniques, and attaching facings and elastic casings.
Choose knitted fabrics with medium to high stretch, ensuring comfort and a flattering drape:
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance for garment bottom and sleeve – 1.5 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.
