Fabric recommendations: dense skirt fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing; 1 button; concealed zipper.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Note! Markings on the patterns are made on the right side.

  • From main fabric:
    • Front panel – 1 piece
    • Back panel – 1 piece on fold
    • Waistband – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Waistband – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Interface the waistband with fusible interfacing.
  2. Form the pleat on the front panel. Secure the pleat according to the technical drawing and stitch from the top to the horizontal mark on the right side.
  3. Finish the left side edges separately. Stitch the seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Press seam allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper.
  4. Stitch and finish the right side edges, press seam allowances towards the back.
  5. Attach the outer side of the waistband to the upper edge of the skirt. Finish the ends of the waistband, trim seam allowances at the corners and turn out. Fold under the inner edge of the waistband and topstitch into the attaching seam. Press the waistband when finished.
  6. Mark and make the buttonhole. Sew on the button.
  7. Finish the bottom edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
