CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment and sleeve hem – 2 cm; all other seams – 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper back part - 2 pieces
    • Upper front part - 1 piece on fold
    • Lower back part – 2 pieces
    • Lower front part – 2 pieces
    • Collar — 2 pieces
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Front facing - 1 piece on fold
    • Back facing - 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the side and shoulder seams of the upper parts. Overlock allowances and press towards the back.
  2. Stitch the side seams of the back and front facings. Press allowances open.
  3. Stitch the side seams of the lower parts. Overlock allowances and press towards the back. Along the upper edges of the lower back and front parts, sew gathering stitches with loosened upper thread and gather. Place facings on the lower parts of the dress right side down and stitch along the upper edge. Overlock allowance.
  4. Stitch the upper and lower parts of the dress, folding the facing and upper part right sides together. Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners. Smooth out the facing and press the lower edge. Stitch a securing seam along the upper edge of the facing from the right side.
  5. Overlock the center back seams separately. Stitch the center back seam from the neckline to the zipper mark and from the zipper mark to the hem. Press allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper.
  6. Stitch the collar seam. Press allowance open. Stitch the outer side of the collar to the neckline, press allowances towards the collar. The collar seam is located at the left shoulder seam. Press the allowance of the inner side to the wrong side and topstitch into the seam of the outer side attachment, aligning marks.
  7. Stitch the sleeve seams, press towards the back and overlock. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overlock.
  8. Hem the bottom of the garment and sleeves by pressing twice to the wrong side by 1 cm and topstitch.
