CUTTER'S MUST

SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Seam allowance for the vertical edge of the fly front piece – 1.5 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment – 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! ATTENTION! Markings on the patterns are on the right side!

  • From main fabric:
    • Center back piece – 2 pieces
    • Side back piece – 2 pieces
    • Center front piece - 1 piece
    • Side front piece – 2 pieces
    • Fly front piece - 1 piece
    • Strap - 2 pieces
    • Back facing – 4 pieces
    • Front facing - 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Back facing – 2 pieces
    • Front facing - 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Interface the pieces with fusible interfacing.
  2. Fold the strap in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the long edge. Turn right side out, centering the seam, and press. Topstitch 0.2 cm from the edge.
  3. Stitch the back princess seams, press allowances towards the center and overcast. Attach the outer facing to the back, press allowances towards the facing.
  4. Overcast the center back edge separately on each piece. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the bottom, press allowances open. Insert the zipper.
  5. Overcast the vertical and bottom edges of the fly front piece, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Place the fly front piece over the center front and secure along the edges. Stitch the front princess seams, press allowances towards the center and overcast. Attach the outer facing to the front, press allowances towards the facing.
  6. Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
  7. Stitch the side seams of the back and front facings, overcast the bottom edge. Place the facing with the garment and stitch the upper edge, inserting the straps at the front. Clip allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side, and press. Topstitch the inner facing into the seam of the outer facing attachment.
  8. Put on the top, adjust the length of the straps, overcast the bottom edges and secure them to the back facing above the princess seams.
  9. Overcast the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  10. Sew decorative buttons according to markings.
