Fabric recommendations: Dress or suit fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; overall fastener; 2 denim buttons; elastic tape 1.5 cm wide.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Front strap edge – 2 cm; Allowance along the upper edge of the pocket – 2 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 2 pieces
    • Front - 1 piece on fold
    • Strap – 2 pieces
    • Front facing - 1 piece on fold
    • Back facing – 2 pieces
    • Pocket – 1 piece
  • FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
    • Front facing - 1 piece on fold
    • Back facing – 2 pieces
    • Strap – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the pieces.
  2. Overlock the upper allowance of the pocket, press it to the wrong side and topstitch. Press the side and lower allowances of the pocket to the wrong side. Place the pocket on the front according to the markings and topstitch.
  3. Stitch the center back seam. Press allowances open.
  4. Stitch the side seams of the sundress. Overlock and press allowances open.
  5. Fold the strap lengthwise in half right sides together and stitch along the front and long edges. Trim allowances, turn right side out and press.
  6. Stitch the center seam of the back facings. Press allowances open. Stitch the side seams of the front and back facings. Press allowances open. Overlock the lower edge of the facings.
  7. Place the facings right side down onto the right side of the front and back and stitch along the upper edge, inserting the straps. Trim allowances, clip corners and turn to the wrong side.
  8. Between the marks, stitch 2 cm from the edge, creating a casing. Thread elastic tape through the casing and secure it.

You can still order outside this range, but a correct draft is not guaranteed and such orders are placed entirely at your own risk.
