Introducing a unique women's maxi tunic pattern featuring a graceful boat neck, defined waist, and a dramatic deep front slit designed to be worn over trousers.
This elegant tunic is designed for versatility and sophistication, making it an ideal choice for:
Silhouette: Long, flowing tunic with a fitted bodice and a relaxed maxi-length lower section.
Neckline: Wide boat neckline, gracefully framing the collarbones with a clean, structured finish.
Sleeves: Short, cap sleeves with a neatly finished edge.
Waist: a distinct horizontal seam defines the natural waistline, separating the bodice from the long lower section.
Front: Features a dramatic, deep center front slit extending from the waist to the hem, designed to reveal trousers worn underneath.
Back: a clean, full back featuring a discreet center seam and an invisible zipper closure extending from the neckline to the lower back.
Length: Maxi length, falling to the ankles or floor.
Intermediate. Requires confident sewing skills, including invisible zipper insertion, accurate joining of bodice and skirt sections, and precise finishing of the neckline and sleeves.
Choose well-draping dress fabrics that enhance the tunic's flowing silhouette:
If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance – 2.0 cm. Center seam allowance of the lower front – 2 cm. Attention! First of all, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
