Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: knit fabric with low stretch, made from natural or blended fibers. Artificial silk, satin in a matching color. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; decorative cord (approximate length indicated on the front pattern piece).

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve – 2.0 cm. Top pocket allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

• From main fabric:
  • Back - 1 piece on fold
  • Front - 1 piece on fold
  • Sleeve - 2 pieces
• From silk:
  • Stand collar - 1 piece
  • Pocket - 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

1. Reinforce the top edge allowance of the pocket with fusible interfacing.
2. Stitch the darts on the front pieces, press the fullness upwards.
3. Overlock the pocket along the contour. Fold the top allowance to the wrong side and topstitch. Fold the side and bottom allowances to the wrong side, place on the front according to markings, and topstitch.
4. Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
5. Overlock the buttonholes on the stand collar. Stitch the stand collar into a loop, press the allowance open. Fold the stand collar in half lengthwise and press. Stitch along the top edge of the stand collar at 1.5 cm, forming a wide casing. Attach the stand collar to the neckline. Overlock the allowance.
6. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and overlock. Set in the sleeves into the armholes, matching notches, press allowances and overlock.
7. Overlock the hem allowance of the garment bottom and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
8. Thread the cord through the stand collar, gently gathering it.
