FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 2 pieces
    • Front - 2 pieces
    • Back part of sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Front part of sleeve – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Stitch the center front seam. Overlock the allowance and press it to the left side. Stitch the bust darts, press the dart excess upwards.
  2. Stitch the center back seam. Overlock the allowance and press it to the left side.
  3. Stitch the right shoulder seam, press the allowance towards the back and overlock.
  4. Cut a bias strip 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding along the neckline edge, right side to right side, leaving tails, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip the allowances, and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
  5. Stitch the side and left shoulder seams, press the allowances towards the back and overlock.
  6. Finish the outer and bottom edges of the sleeves with a French seam or overlock with a narrow rolled hem (then it is necessary to trim the allowances). Stitch the sleeve seam, press the allowances towards the back and overlock. Align the sleeves at the center seam butt-to-butt, secure at the top. Set the sleeves into the armholes, matching notches, press and overlock the allowances.
  7. Press the bottom hem allowance up by 1 cm, then another 1 cm, and topstitch.
  8. Tie the sleeves.
