Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: well-draping knit fabric with a high degree of stretch, made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: elastic thread.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: 1.5 cm for the bottom hem, 1 cm for all other seams. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper part of the dress – 2 pieces
    • Lower part of the dress – 1 piece on fold

Sewing Instructions

  1. Overlock the upper parts of the dress along the contour, not touching the bottom edge. Fold the allowances inwards and topstitch. Alternatively, you can finish with a narrow overlock stitch, for which you will need to trim the allowances.
  2. Stitch the center seam of the dress. Overlock the allowance and press it to the left side. Overlock, fold inwards, and topstitch the upper edge of the dress.
  3. Attach the upper parts of the dress to the main piece. Overlock the allowance and press it downwards.
  4. For a closer fit, sew two parallel rows with elastic thread along the upper edge of the back from mark to mark.
  5. Overlock the bottom allowance of the dress, fold it to the wrong side, and topstitch.
