Pattern #2002
Tech. Description

Flounced Tulle Stole with Integrated Sleeves

This pattern creates an elegant, made-to-measure stole featuring integrated off-the-shoulder sleeves and lavish ruffled details.

When To Wear

This exquisite accessory is perfect for adding a touch of romance and glamour to special occasions:

  • Weddings & Bridal Events: An ideal ethereal cover-up for a bridal gown, as shown in the styling.
  • Evening Galas & Formal Receptions: Elevates a sophisticated gown with its delicate drape and intricate flounces.
  • Themed Parties & Photo Shoots: Creates a dramatic and dreamy aesthetic for events with a fairytale or romantic theme.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: A draped stole that gracefully covers the shoulders, offering a relaxed and ethereal fit.

Sleeves: Integrated off-the-shoulder sleeves with gathered flounces at the lower edge, providing a delicate arm covering.

Details: Features generous ruffles (flounces) along the main body and sleeve hems, finished with intricate lace trim and optional hand-embroidered beadwork.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Involves working with delicate fabrics, attaching multiple layers of flounces, and precise application of lace trim, with optional hand-beading.

Fabric Recommendations

Select very lightweight, sheer fabrics with good drape to achieve the intended ethereal effect:

  • Tulle

Additional Supplies

  • Lace trim (approx. 6 m)
  • Beads (for optional hand embroidery)

Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: THIN TULLE. Also needed: LACE TRIM 2 cm wide.

CUTTER'S MUST

If the patterns have a double contour, they include SEAM ALLOWANCES. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: All allowances - 1 cm (except for flounce patterns). ATTENTION! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width should be at least 140 cm) to determine how much material you will need.

  • From TULLE:
    • Stole with integrated sleeves
    • Large and small square flounces
  • Lace trim: Sewn onto the finished stole and hand-embroidered with beads.

Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the NOTCHES - they must match! Try to observe the GRAIN LINE direction.

  1. The large and small square flounces are cut along the "cut" line. Then the small flounce is placed on the large one and stitched together with the raw edges of the stole (the flounces are sewn to the stole along their inner diameter - the ends remain free - see photo). The flounces are only stitched along the long edges of the stole.
  2. The stitching edges are covered with a topstitched lace trim (you will need approximately 6 m of it).
  3. The flounces are also stitched onto the lower edges of the sleeves, which are then covered with lace trim. The sleeves are sewn up to the marks with an internal seam.
