From Lining:
For drafting the lining pattern pieces, use the following modifications:
- Back lining: use the back part adding a 2 cm ease pleat at center back
- Front lining: use the front part excluding front facing area – 2 pieces
- Pocket: use pocket piece shortening it by 4 cm
- Sleeves lining, cuffs lining, back belt lining and pocket flap lining: use main pattern pieces without any modification.
- Shorten the lining length by 2 cm at the hem.
Fusible Interfacing:
Apply interfacing to Front Part Fusible pattern piece, front facings, outer and under collars, collar stand, pocket flaps, back belt, pocket hem allowance, coat hem allowance.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Before cutting your fabric, print and lay out the paper patterns according to your fabric width (90–150 cm) to determine yardage. Remember to include paired and symmetrical pieces.
When working with napped coatings (such as brushed wool or cashmere), pay attention to nap direction to ensure consistent color and texture.
