Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, the patterns are without seam allowances. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper back – 1 piece on fold
    • Upper front – 1 piece on fold
    • Lower back – 1 piece on fold
    • Lower front – 1 piece on fold

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch shoulder seams of upper pieces. Press seam allowances open. Stitch side seams. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the back.
  2. Stitch side seams of lower pieces. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the back. Fold lower front and back wrong sides together and stitch shoulder seams. Press seam allowances open.
  3. Place the lower of the tunic, wrong side up, onto the right side of the upper, align at the neckline edge and face. Trim seam allowances, turn the inner to the wrong side and press the neckline. Face the armhole in two steps: first the front armhole, then the back armhole.
  4. Overlock the hem allowance of the dress, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Tip: The hem of the tunic can be finished with a narrow rolled hem. In this case, trim the hem allowances to 0.5 cm.
