Sewing Instructions
- Fuse fusible interfacing to the front facing and back facing.
- Overlock the center back seam. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper notches to the bottom. Press open the center back seam, pressing the zipper openings flat. Insert the zipper.
- Stitch the princess seams of the back. Press seam allowances towards the center and overlock.
- Overlock the princess seams of the front and the fold edges. Stitch the princess seams up to the fold. Stitch the vertical edge of the fold. Press the fold open to both sides. Secure the fold depth at the top.
- Stitch the side and shoulder seams. Press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams of the front facing and back facing, press seams open. Overlock the outer edge of the facings. Place facing pieces right sides together with the garment and stitch the neckline edge of the front and back. Clip seam allowances at curves, turn the facing to the wrong side. Stitch the armhole in two steps: first the upper armhole edge, then the lower armhole edge. Turn the facing to the wrong side and press. Stitch the center facing edge to the zipper seam allowance. Topstitch along the neckline and armholes.
- Overlock the bottom edge, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Overlock one long edge of the trim strip. Fold the unoverlocked edge inwards and cover with the overlocked edge. Stitch two parallel lines 0.1 cm from the edge. Cut the trim strips, overlock the short edges. Fold the short edges inwards and topstitch the trim strips onto the princess seams according to markings.
