- From fusible interfacing: plackets, upper collar, collar stand, cuffs.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse fusible interfacing to the plackets, upper collar, collar stand, and cuffs.
- Mark and stitch the waist darts on the front panels and back. Press the waist darts on the front towards the center front, and the darts on the back towards the center back.
- Stitch the shoulder and side seam allowances of the blouse. Overlock the side and shoulder seams of the blouse. Press the seams towards the back.
- Fold the hem inwards by 1 cm, then by another 1 cm, and topstitch.
- Overlock the outer and lower edge of the flounce with a rolled hem. Along the inner edge, stitch with loosely tensioned stitches and gather. Place the flounce right side down onto the right side of the outer placket, aligning the edges, and topstitch up to the bottom seam allowance. Finish the lower edge of the placket with a facing. Attach the outer placket with the flounce to the center edge of the front, press seam allowances towards the placket. Fold the edge of the inner placket inwards and topstitch from the right side 0.1 cm from the outer placket attachment seam. Topstitch along the edge of the front opening 0.1 cm from the edge.
- Fold the upper collar with the lower collar right sides together. Stitch the ends and the outer edge of the collar. Trim the seam allowances. Turn the collar right side out, shape, and press. Fold the collar stand pieces right sides together, insert the finished collar between them, align the notches, and stitch, simultaneously finishing the ends of the collar stand. Start and end the stitching strictly at the marked seam line for attaching the collar stand. Turn the finished collar right side out and press. Attach the upper collar stand with the collar to the neckline, fold under the raw edge of the lower collar stand, and topstitch into the seam of the upper collar stand attachment.
- Overlock the sleeve edges. Stitch the sleeve edges up to the mark and press open. Along the slit, stitch 0.1 cm from the edge. Fold the cuffs in half right sides together and stitch the short sides and the step. Trim seam allowances at the corners, clip at the step mark. Turn the cuffs right side out and press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the sleeve. Fold under the inner side of the cuff and topstitch into the attachment seam.
- Set in the sleeves, easing the cap.
- On the right front, make buttonholes, and on the left, sew on buttons. On the cuffs, make buttonholes and sew on buttons.
