Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce waistband parts, fly shield, pocket facings, and flaps with fusible interfacing.
  2. Baste pocket facings to the front halves.
  3. Stitch pocket bags right sides together to the pocket openings.
  4. Trim seam allowances of the pocket bags to 0.5 cm width.
  5. Turn pocket bags to the wrong side.
  6. Fold under the lower edges of the facings and topstitch them to the front halves.
  7. Pin the front halves to the cut side panels along the marking lines, baste the pocket opening.
  8. Stitch the pocket bags together.
  9. Stitch the flaps along the shaped sides, turn out, press, and topstitch close to the edge.
  10. Topstitch a piece of hook-and-loop tape (Velcro) with hooks onto the flaps.
  11. Place the flaps on the middle parts of the front pant halves according to the markings and baste.
  12. Topstitch soft pieces of hook-and-loop tape (Velcro) onto the pocket parts.
  13. Make a pleat on the pocket, press the side seam allowances of the pocket inwards, place it according to the markings on the middle of the front pant half and topstitch.
  14. Stitch the upper and middle parts of the front halves together (the upper edge of the flap is included in the stitching seam). Press the seam allowances towards the upper parts and topstitch.
  15. Stitch the middle and lower parts of the front halves together (the lower edge of the pocket is included in the stitching seam). Press the seam allowances towards the lower parts and topstitch.
  16. Fold the front halves right sides together, below the slash mark, stitch the front center seam, stopping 2 cm before the inseam line.
  17. Press the integrated zipper facings to the wrong side.
  18. Stitch the zipper under the edge of the zipper allowance (left side) close to the edge.
  19. Stitch the free tape of the zipper to the right half to the integrated facing.
  20. Fold the fly shield in half lengthwise, right side out, and overlock along the long and short edges.
  21. Topstitch the integrated zipper facing onto the fly shield on the left pant half.
  22. Topstitch the right edge of the opening, catching the facing.
  23. Stitch the upper and middle parts of the back halves together. Press the seam allowances towards the upper parts and topstitch.
  24. Stitch the middle and lower parts of the back halves together. Press the seam allowances towards the lower parts and topstitch.
  25. Stitch the inseam and side seams.
  26. In one step, stitch the back seam and the unstitched section of the front seam. Press the seam allowances open from the top to the start of the curves.
  27. Stitch the waistband parts together in pairs, press the seams open.
  28. Stitch the upper of the waistband to the upper edge of the pants, right sides together. Press the seam allowances of the attachment towards the waistband.
  29. Fold the upper and lower parts of the waistband right sides together and stitch. Turn the waistband out, press, and topstitch from the right side exactly into the attachment seam.
  30. Topstitch a piece of hook-and-loop tape (Velcro) with hooks onto the right waistband, and a soft piece onto the left.
  31. Stitch the hem facings into rings, fold them with the lower edges of the pants right sides together and stitch.
  32. Fold the facings to the wrong side, encasing the seam, and press.
  33. Topstitch the facings from the right side into the attachment seam.
