  • 3. Side front – 2 qty

Tip: When sewing knit fabrics, use a special elastic stitch or a narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. For the hem, use a twin needle to maintain elasticity.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Attach the side front PANELs to the center front. Serge the seams and press towards the center. Attach the yoke to the front. Serge the seam allowances and press downwards. Attach the yoke to the back on the right side. Serge the seam allowance and press downwards.
  2. Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide, with a length equal to the neckline length. Fold the trim strip in half, right sides out, and press. Place the trim strip on the wrong side of the neckline and stitch. Turn to the right side and topstitch. Attach the left side of the yoke. Serge the seam allowance and press towards the back. Place a bar tack on the neckline at the level of the yoke attachment seam.
  3. Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide, with a length equal to the armhole length. Fold the trim strip in half, right sides out, and press. Place the trim strip on the wrong side of the armhole and stitch. Turn to the right side and topstitch. Stitch the side seams. Serge the seam allowances and press towards the back. Place a bar tack on the armhole at the level of the side seam.
  4. Serge the bottom edge of the garment and the bottom edge of the sleeve. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
