Pattern #2008
Tech. Description

Tulle Stole with Satin Cuffs

Introducing a women's sewing pattern for an elegant stole, crafted from sheer tulle with delicate gathering secured by decorative satin cuffs.

When To Wear

This elegant stole is perfectly suited for a variety of formal and celebratory occasions, including:

  • Formal Evenings: Perfect as a sophisticated overlay for gowns or formal attire.
  • Bridal & Wedding Events: An ethereal accessory for brides, bridesmaids, or wedding guests.
  • Special Occasions: Adds a touch of refined glamour to any celebratory ensemble.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: a long, flowing stole designed to drape gracefully over the shoulders or arms.

Main Body: Crafted from sheer tulle, creating an airy and elegant effect.

Cuffs: Features two distinctive satin cuffs, positioned to gather the tulle at the sides, adding structure and visual interest.

Gathering: The main tulle body is gathered at each side, creating soft volume before attaching to the cuffs.

Embellishment: Each satin cuff is designed for luxurious detailing, featuring an area to apply decorative lace trim and hand-embroider with beads, as visually indicated by the circular elements.

Hem: The bottom edge features a gentle, undulating curve, adding to the garment's fluidity.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Involves working with delicate sheer fabric, precise gathering, and attaching decorative cuffs which include lace application and bead embellishment.

Fabric Recommendations

Choose lightweight fabrics with elegant drape for the stole, and a complementary fabric for the cuffs:

  • Lightweight tulle
  • Satin (for cuffs)

Additional Supplies

  • Lace trim (4-5 cm wide)
  • Beads (for embellishment)

Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: All allowances - 1 cm. Attention! First of all, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width should be at least 140 cm) to determine how much material you will need.

  • From tulle:
    • Stole – 1 piece
  • From satin:
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
  • Lace trim: Sew onto the finished cuff and embroider by hand with beads.

Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match! Try to observe the grain line direction.

  1. Gather the tulle to the width of the cuff.
  2. Attach the cuff, sew on the lace trim, and embroider with beads.
