  • From fusible interfacing: Outer plackets, outer collar stand.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse fusible interfacing to the pieces.
  2. Fold collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch around. Start and end the stitching strictly at the marked seam line for attaching. Clip seam allowances at curves. Turn the finished collar stand right side out and press.
  3. Stitch the princess seams on the back pieces. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the center. Stitch the center back seam. Overlock seam allowance and press to the left side.
  4. Stitch the princess seams of the front. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the center.
  5. Fold plackets right sides together and stitch along the outer edge. Turn the pieces right side out and press. Attach the outer placket to the front, press seam allowances towards the placket. Fold the inner placket inwards and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  6. Fold the lower edge of the sleeve twice by 0.5 cm and topstitch. Clip seam allowances on the sleeve at the corners according to the notches. Fold the sleeve right side in and stitch along the short vertical edge from the notch upwards. Slash the front and back between the marked dart lines from the shoulder seam to the horizontal notches. Stitch the shoulder seam section, from the slashed section strictly to the sleeve attachment line, inserting the stitched sleeve section. Overlock seam allowance. Stitch the shoulder seam to the neckline. Overlock seam allowance. Lay out the upper sleeve section (yoke) onto the front and back, evenly distributing the width of the yoke. Stitch the back and front dart in one seam, catching the upper edge of the yoke. Overlock seam allowance.
  7. Set the sleeves into the armholes. Overlock seam allowances. Stitch the side seam from the armhole to the hem, inserting the sleeve edges between the front and back. Overlock seam allowance and press towards the back.
  8. Attach the upper collar stand to the neckline, fold the open edge of the lower collar stand and topstitch into the attachment seam of the upper collar stand.
  9. Overlock the hem allowance, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Make buttonholes and sew on buttons.
