Sewing Instructions
- POCKETS WITH CUT-OFF SIDE PANEL. Fuse interfacing to the pocket opening edge on the front panel. Attach the pocket bag to the front panel and turn to the wrong side. Topstitch the pocket opening. Place the front panel onto the side panel along the alignment line and stitch the pocket bags together.
- ASSEMBLING THE UPPER PART. Stitch the side seams. Topstitch. Stitch the center seams. Topstitch along the left half.
- SIDE POCKET. Fuse interfacing to the flap. Stitch the flap, turn it right side out, and topstitch. Press the allowance along the upper edge of the pocket and topstitch it. Press the allowances of the side pocket. Topstitch the hook-and-loop tape. Place the pocket and flap onto the right side according to the markings and topstitch.
- WAISTBAND. Mark the elastic topstitching lines on the waistband. Between the topstitching lines, at the level of the center seam of the front panel, make 2 buttonholes for the cord. The distance between the buttonholes is 8cm. Stitch the waistband and the elastic tape into a loop separately. Insert the elastic tape into the waistband, stretch it to the length of the waistband, and make 2 decorative stitches. Attach the waistband to the pants, catching the elastic in the seam.
- LINING. Stitch the side and center seams of the pant lining. Attach the lining to the pant waistband.
- Install eyelets at the bottom according to the markings. Press the hem allowance, first folding 1cm, then 3.5cm.
- Stitch the inseam edges of the main fabric and lining.
- Topstitch the hem allowance.
- Press the finished pants.
- Insert the cord into the waistband and the bottom of the pants.
