Short Sleeve Raglan T-shirt with Topstitching

Pattern #6106
Tech. Description

CUTTER'S MUST

  • MAIN FABRIC:
  • FRONT PANEL - 1 QTY
  • BACK PANEL - 1 QTY
  • YOKE - 2 QTY
  • FRONT SLEEVE - 2 QTY
  • BACK SLEEVE - 2 QTY
  • COLLAR - 1 QTY

TIP: To ensure the fabric remains stretchy in the areas of the finished seams, stitch the cut pieces with a narrow zigzag stitch or a special stretch stitch. To keep the bottom edge stretchy, the hem should be overlocked with an overlock stitch, and then stitched using a twin needle. The same applies to finishing other edges of the garment that should not lose elasticity. These recommendations do not apply to industrial production.

Sewing Instructions

  1. ASSEMBLE THE TOP. Attach the front SLEEVEs to the FRONT PANEL. Attach the YOKE to the FRONT PANEL. Attach the back SLEEVEs to the BACK PANEL. Stitch the shoulder SEAM ALLOWANCES. Stitch the side seams and the SLEEVE seams.
  2. Stitch the COLLAR into a ring. Fold in half. Insert the COLLAR into the neckline, stretching the COLLAR edge and positioning the COLLAR seam at the left shoulder seam. Topstitch the COLLAR insertion seam with a STRETCH stitch.
  3. Overlock and press up the hem of the bottom and SLEEVEs. Topstitch the bottom of the garment and the bottom of the SLEEVEs.
  4. Press the finished T-shirt.
