- Place upper back pieces right sides together and stitch the long sides of the rhombus and the upper section, inserting the loop. Turn right side out and press.
- Finish the bias and lower edges of the flounce with a narrow rolled hem. Stitch the center front seam, inserting the flounces. Press seam allowances to the left and serge.
- Stitch the center back seam, press seam allowances to the left and serge. Attach the upper back to the upper edge of the back skirt half.
- Stitch the side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
- Process lining pieces similarly to main fabric pieces. Place lining and main garment right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Then, starting 1 cm from the upper seam, stitch the upper edge all around, stopping 1 cm before the upper seam on the other side. Turn the dress right side out and press. Stitch a decorative seam 1 cm from the upper front edge, creating a casing.
- Serge the lower edges of the dress and lining (separately) with a narrow rolled hem.
- Along the upper edge of the back skirt half, from the side seam to the upper, stitch using elastic thread. Insert the tie into the casing and loop.
