Fabric Recommendations

Choose knit fabrics with suitable drape and stretch for optimal results:

  • Knit fabrics with medium or low stretch, made from natural or blended fibers

Additional Supplies

  • Hotfix rhinestones

CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
  • BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
  • FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
  • Left FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
  • YOKE – 2 QTY
  • SLEEVE – 2 QTY

Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also sew the pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

Sewing Instructions

  1. On the FRONT PANEL pieces, lay and stitch the pleats 3 cm along the marked lines. The inner edges of the pleats should be directed downwards. Attach the left FRONT PANEL to the main piece. Serge the seam and press. Lay and stitch the pleat on the left side. The seam should be in the inner edge of the pleat and directed downwards.
  2. Stitch the center back seam of the BACK PANEL. Serge the seam and press open.
  3. Along the upper edges of the FRONT PANEL, sew a gathering stitch with loosely tensioned stitches and gather. Attach the YOKE to the FRONT PANEL. Serge the seam and press upwards.
  4. Stitch the shoulder seams, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
  5. Near the NOTCH on the neckline of the FRONT PANEL, clip the SEAM ALLOWANCE. Serge the neckline edge, starting the stitch from the left FRONT PANEL and ending at the NOTCH on the right side of the FRONT PANEL. Turn the serged neckline edge inwards and topstitch.
  6. Attach the left FRONT PANEL to the right along the wrap edge and then vertically downwards. Clip the SEAM ALLOWANCE diagonally in the lower corner, serge the seam and press towards the right side. Topstitch along the wrap seam, continuing the neckline topstitching. Form the excess fabric in the lower part of the wrap into a box pleat and stitch it from the wrong side.
  7. Stitch the side seams of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Serge the seams and press towards the BACK PANEL.
  8. Stitch the SLEEVE seams. Serge the seams and press.
  9. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes, matching the NOTCHES. Serge the seams and press.
  10. Serge the bottom edge of the garment and the bottom edge of the SLEEVE. Fold to the wrong side, press and topstitch.
  11. On the FRONT PANEL, around the vertical seam joining the left and right parts, glue hotfix rhinestones in a circle shape, imitating a decorative buckle.
