ATTENTION: FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL pieces from LINING fabric are cut WITHOUT considering the width of the front and back FACINGS. From FUSIBLE INTERFACING: front and back FACINGS.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse the skirt FACINGS with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
- Stitch the princess seams of the BACK PANEL. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center and serge. Stitch the princess seams of the FRONT PANEL. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center and serge.
- Stitch the left side seam from the zipper mark downwards. Press the seam open, pressing the SEAM ALLOWANCE for the zipper, and serge. Place the ZIPPER under the SEAM ALLOWANCES and stitch so that the teeth are not visible.
- Stitch the right side seam of the skirt. Press the seam towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
- Stitch and press open the right side seam of the FACINGS. Stitch and serge the LINING pieces similarly to the main fabric pieces. Stitch the LINING to the lower edge of the FACINGS. Place the FACINGS with the upper edge of the skirt right sides together and stitch. Topstitch the stitching seam onto the FACINGS at a distance of 0.2 cm from the stitching seam. Fold the FACINGS to the wrong side and press. Turn under the zipper opening SEAM ALLOWANCES on the LINING to the wrong side and sew to the ZIPPER tapes. Serge the lower edge of the LINING, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
- Stitch the skirt FLOUNCE pieces into a ring. Press the seam allowances open and serge. Serge the lower edge. Press the lower edge SEAM ALLOWANCE to the wrong side and secure with fusible web. Form and press the pleats according to the markings. Place the FLOUNCE with the lower edge of the skirt right sides together and stitch. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCE towards the skirt and serge.
