  • 3. BACK PANEL - QTY 2
  • 2. BACK FACING - QTY 2
  • 5. FRONT SKIRT HALF - QTY 1 on fold
  • 6. BACK SKIRT HALF - QTY 2
  • LINING:
  • 1 upper FRONT PANEL - QTY 2
  • 2 lower FRONT PANEL - QTY 1 on fold
  • From FUSIBLE INTERFACING: lower FRONT PANEL, BACK FACINGS, interfacing for strengthening the front neckline.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the lower FRONT PANEL and BACK FACING; press a 2 cm wide strip of interfacing onto the front neckline edges and armhole edges of the LINING fabric.
  2. Place the inner and outer upper FRONT PANEL pieces right sides together. Stitch the neckline and armhole edges. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES at curves.
  3. Turn the upper FRONT PANEL right side out. Baste the neckline and armhole edges. Gather the lower edges of the upper FRONT PANEL between the NOTCHES.
  4. Stitch the lower edge of the upper FRONT PANEL to the upper edge of the lower FRONT PANEL, right sides together.
  5. Stitch the inner and outer lower FRONT PANEL pieces along the seam attaching the upper FRONT PANEL. Turn the lower FRONT PANEL right side out. Turn the upper FRONT PANEL upwards, lay the lower part downwards. Topstitch the attachment seam of the lower part close to the edge. Baste the lower edges of the lower FRONT PANEL.
  6. Stitch the darts on the BACK PANEL. Press the darts towards the center back line.
  7. Stitch the FRONT PANEL to the BACK PANEL at the shoulder seams, right sides together.
  8. Attach the BACK FACINGS to the BACK PANEL pieces along the neckline, shoulder, and armhole edges, right sides together. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES at curves.
  9. Stitch the side seams on the upper part of the dress, laying the FACINGS upwards. Turn the FACINGS to the wrong side, fold under near the side seams and baste to the armhole edges.
  10. Stitch the skirt halves at the side and center back seams, leaving an opening at the top of the center back seam for ZIPPER attachment.
  11. Attach the upper part of the dress to the upper edge of the skirt, right sides together. Overcast SEAM ALLOWANCES and press upwards. Topstitch the attachment seam from the right side close to the edge.
  12. Turn the SEAM ALLOWANCES along the back slit and at the ends of the FACINGS to the wrong side. Attach the ZIPPER to the SEAM ALLOWANCES. Hand-stitch the FACINGS to the ZIPPER tape.
  13. Topstitch the neckline and armhole edges close to the edge.
  14. Turn the hem allowance to the wrong side, stitch at a distance of 0.75 cm.
