CUTTER'S MUST

  • BACK PANEL - 2 QTY
  • FRONT PANEL - 2 QTY
  • BIAS BINDING for neckline of FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL - 1 QTY
  • BIAS BINDING for armholes - 2 QTY

Sewing Instructions

  1. FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL are cut on the bias.
  2. Before hemming the dress, let it hang for a day, then redraw the hemline.
  3. On the FRONT PANEL pieces, stitch the darts, press upwards.
  4. Stitch the front and back center seams. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
  5. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the short neckline edges of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL to the wrong side, fold under and topstitch at a distance of 0.5 cm.
  6. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the neckline and armholes according to the markings.
  7. Fold the BIAS BINDING strips in half, wrong sides together, press the long edges inwards so that they meet in the middle of the strips.
  8. Baste the BIAS BINDING strips to the neckline and armhole edges so that the edges lie in the middle of the strips.
  9. Stitch the BIAS BINDING strip for the neckline into a ring.
  10. Turn the free half of the strip to the right side, baste.
  11. At the strap sections, fold the strips towards each other, baste.
  12. Topstitch the edge of the strip from the right side.
  13. Stitch the side seams, hand-sew the SEAM ALLOWANCES to the strips.
  14. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES for the bottom hem to the wrong side, fold under and topstitch at a distance of 0.7 cm.
