Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the front and back princess seams. Press seam allowances towards the center.
  2. Stitch the shoulder seams, press seam allowances open.
  3. Finish the armhole with a trim strip. Stitch the ends of the trim strip together. Turn the trim strip to the wrong side of the blouse. Turn under the trim strip seam allowances and topstitch close to the edge.
  4. Finish the neckline edge with a trim strip, placing the pieces right sides together. Turn the trim strip to the wrong side of the blouse neckline. Turn under the trim strip seam allowances and topstitch close to the edge.
  5. Cut the elastic tape in half and thread it into the neckline casing. Secure the ends of the elastic tape.
  6. Clean finish the ties to 0.5 cm, turn right side out.
  7. Finish the upper corner of the placket, folding it in half lengthwise right sides together and stitching along the upper edge. Turn the placket right side out, press the longitudinal seam allowances inwards.
  8. Insert the end of the tie and the front edge into the placket, baste. Topstitch the placket at a distance of 0.2 cm.
  9. Stitch the blouse side seams, press seam allowances open.
  10. Turn under the hem allowance and topstitch at a distance of 0.7 cm.
  11. On the right front placket, overlock 5 buttonholes; sew buttons onto the left.
