Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Interface the central part, side upper and lower parts, facing, zipper facing, bottom, and strap with fusible interlining.
- Fold the lower side part and the lining of the lower part right sides together and stitch along the upper edge. Turn right side out and topstitch 0.5 cm from the edge. Place the lower side part on the upper side part, secure along the edges, and stitch to the central part.
- Stitch the side edges of the facing.
- Mark the pocket placement on the lining. Cut an opening along the pocket opening, make diagonal cuts 1 – 1.5 cm from the end of the pocket. Fold seam allowances inwards. Place the zipper under the edges of the pocket opening so that the teeth are visible. Topstitch the pocket opening close to the edge at 0.2 cm. Stitch the large pocket lining to the upper zipper tape, and the small one to the lower zipper tape. Stitch the edges of the lining.
- Cut out zipper flaps from the lining, 4 cm long and 2 cm wide. Fold the seam allowance of the upper edge of the divider pocket to the wrong side, fold inwards, and topstitch. Fold the flaps in half crosswise, place them on the zipper from both sides. Place the divider pocket pieces on the zipper so that the lining does not cover the zipper teeth and topstitch.
- Stitch the side edges of the lining, inserting the divider pocket.
- Fold the zipper facing and the lining of the zipper facing right sides together and stitch, inserting the zipper between them. Turn the facings right side out. Topstitch along the zipper teeth.
- Stitch the upper facing to the zipper facing, clipping at the corners. Stitch the lining to the lining of the zipper facing in the seam of the upper facing attachment.
- Stitch the side edges of the bag.
- Fold the upper facing right sides together with the bag. Stitch along the upper edge, clipping at the corners. Fold the allowances of the loops for the rings inside the bag and topstitch.
- Stitch the bottom into the bag, clipping at the corners.
- Stitch the lining of the bottom into the bag lining, leaving an opening. Turn the bag right side out through the opening. Stitch the opening closed.
- Fold the strap lengthwise, right side in, and stitch along the long edge. Turn the strap right side out and press. Thread the ends of the strap through the rings, fold the allowance, and topstitch.
