Advanced. Best suited for sewists experienced in tailored overcoats, structured collars, flap pocket construction, and lining assembly.
SEAM ALLOWANCES
No seam allowances by default. If an option to add them at 1 EUR is chosen, pattern will come with seam allowances included.
Please note: A single contour on the pattern pieces means no seam allowances are included. A double contour indicates seam allowances are included.
FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DIGITAL PATTERN 6009
Use warm, structured coating fabrics to maintain the tailored form:
- Wool or wool-blend coating (solid, twill, or melton)
- Brushed wool blends with body
- Tonal lining for full inner coverage
Avoid soft, drapey, or lightweight materials—they compromise the integrity of the silhouette.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Before cutting your fabric:
- Always print and lay out all pattern pieces on your chosen fabric width (90–150 cm)
- Don’t forget mirrored pieces, grainlines, and directional layouts
- For plaid fabrics: align all pieces for consistent pattern matching
- Use basting or tailor’s tacks to mark lapels, notches, and darts clearly
