Minerva Digital Pattern 5916
Introducing a digital pattern for the sculpted coat with framed pockets and pleated peplum – Modern Uniformity Meets Structured Elegance.
Please note: I visualized this design in Clo3d without the belt as per my personal preference.
WHEN TO WEAR DESIGN 5916
This coat is a sculptural reimagining of classic tailoring, combining clean lines, sharp contrast, and precise construction. The double collar, framed pockets, and rear pleated peplum create an ensemble that blends statement detail with practical refinement. Ideal for structured daywear or formal occasions when presence matters.
-
Creative Business Settings or Gallery Openings: Polished and directional without being overworked.
-
Fall/Winter Events: The structured silhouette and full lining offer warmth and poise.
-
Elegant Daywear: Pairs beautifully with tall boots and gloves for a bold, composed look.
KEY DESIGN FEATURES
Silhouette: Straight-cut coat with raglan sleeves integrated into sculpted yoke seams for smooth lines and clean construction.
Collar: Layered double collar—an outer stand collar over an inner base—designed for visual contrast and sharp tailoring.
Back: Defined by a pleated peplum at the waist, adding volume and structured elegance to the rear silhouette.
Pockets: Patch pockets with vertical contrast frames and decorative button accents.
Closure: Simple front fastening (no placket) for a minimal, uninterrupted front panel.
Interior: Fully lined throughout for a refined finish and comfortable wear.
LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY
Intermediate to advanced. Precision is required when aligning the yokes, constructing the layered collar, and shaping the pleated peplum.
SEAM ALLOWANCES
No seam allowances by default. If an option to add them at 1 EUR is chosen, all seams are 1 cm. Hem allowance for garment and sleeve – 3.5 cm.
Please note:
-
A single contour on the pattern pieces means no seam allowances are included.
-
A double contour indicates seam allowances are included.
