These Terms and Conditions apply to all product sales through Minerva Patterns, operated by Oleg Iuchis at Via Al Mulino 9, 6825 Capolago, Switzerland (“Minerva Patterns,” “Site,” or “we”), and govern each purchase made by our customers (“you” or “the customer”). Please review these Terms and Conditions carefully before completing your purchase.
Summary of Business Scope
Minerva Patterns is an e-commerce platform offering digital sewing patterns customized to each customer’s individual measurements, delivered via email. Unlike other pattern shops, we don’t provide pre-made downloadable files or printed patterns, nor do we sell finished garments. Each order represents a unique request for a custom pattern drafting service, fulfilled only once we receive the customer’s measurements. Once complete, the pattern is available exclusively as a digital file.
For customers who prefer standard sizing, we offer pre-set US ASTM sizes via a size chart published on our website. Customers select a design from our catalog and either choose a standard ASTM size or enter their individual measurements.
When an order is received, our team manually uploads the specifications into our pattern drafting software, which processes the information, assembles the layout, and finalizes the pattern in the requested format (DXF AAMA, PLT, or PDF). Once processed, we forward the pattern file to the customer’s email.
Orders are typically fulfilled within a few hours or, at most, one business day.
Any changes to garment style, measurements, pattern details, or file format require a new order and separate payment.
Sewing Pattern Drafting Service
Our sewing patterns are crafted using advanced software, built to garment industry standards and enhanced with custom drafting technologies developed over the years. This approach ensures a pattern tailored to your or your client’s specific body type, resulting in a fit superior to magazine or standard-sized patterns. Each pattern is personalized to your height and individual measurements.
Once your order is submitted, your sewing pattern will be sent to the email associated with your account. Please check your Spam folder if it does not appear in your inbox. No physical copies or finished garments will be mailed.
Available Formats
All sewing patterns are provided in digital, downloadable formats, including DXF AAMA, PLT, and PDF.
Please note that we do not guarantee the final fit of the finished garment, as this depends on factors such as accurate measurement, fabric choice, sewing skills, and how the pattern interacts with the fabric. Each pattern is designed for a specific fabric type, and using a different fabric may impact the fit. Additionally, some fabrics may shrink during sewing. Users are responsible for testing the fit and accounting for fabric shrinkage before cutting. We are not liable for the final result or fabric choice.
Measurements Required
To receive a custom-sized pattern, please provide the following measurements in centimeters (cm):
- Height
- Bust circumference
- Under bust circumference
- Waist circumference
- Low Hip circumference
- High Hip circumference
Patterns cannot be processed without these measurements.
Seam Allowances
Our digital sewing patterns do not include seam allowances by default, but you can opt to add them for an additional $1 by selecting the seam allowance checkbox on the product page. Independent fashion designers may prefer to receive patterns without seam allowances and add their own during fabric cutting.
Please note that if the pattern pieces have a single contour, this indicates they do not include seam allowances. If you see a double contour, it means seam allowances are included.
Sewing Pattern Delivery
Depending on the chosen format and file size, your sewing patterns may be delivered across multiple pages. You will need to tape the pattern pages together and cut out the pattern pieces.
We aim to send your sewing patterns via email within 24 hours.
Free Pattern Previews
Free previews of sewing patterns are automatically generated, meaning our team does not manually review or oversee these previews.
These preview files differ from the final sewing pattern. They do not include pattern annotations, markings, seam allowances, or the recommended layout for printing. Additionally, they do not display the grainline. As such, these preview files are not suitable for printing or sewing garments, but they provide a general idea of the design of the upcoming sewing pattern.
Customer Information
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all provided customer and delivery information is accurate. If any changes are made to the customer information, Minerva Patterns reserves the right to verify the new details. We will re-evaluate the customer’s order within 24 working hours for approval.
Privacy
Your use of Minerva Patterns is governed by our Privacy Policy. Please take a moment to review our Privacy Policy, which outlines our data collection practices and governs your use of the site.
Electronic Communications
By visiting Minerva Patterns or emailing us, you are engaging in electronic communications. You consent to receive these communications and agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other messages we send to you electronically, whether by email or through the Site, satisfy any legal requirements for written communication.
Your Account
By using this Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, as well as limiting access to your computer. You agree to take responsibility for all actions that occur under your account or password. Transferring or assigning your account to another person or entity is prohibited. You acknowledge that Minerva Patterns is not liable for any unauthorized access to your account resulting from theft or misuse. We reserve the right to deny or cancel services, terminate accounts, or modify content at our discretion.
Minerva Patterns does not intentionally collect personal information from individuals under 13, either online or offline. If you are under 18, you may only use our Site with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Payments
We accept payments by credit and debit cards from the following providers:

Payment Service Provider
For credit card transactions made through our checkout, we partner with WooPayments, a payment service provider chosen for its diverse payment methods and enhanced security features.
When you place an order and choose to pay with Visa, MasterCard, or American Express, WooPayments will process the transaction using your card details and billing information. All billing and customer information transmitted through Minerva Patterns is fully encrypted and used only for processing the transactions you initiate. Minerva Patterns does not store payment details, including your credit card number, expiration date, or CSV code. These details are entered directly into a form hosted by our payment provider, and we never have access to them.
Important: Please do not press the submit button a second time while your transaction is being processed, as this may result in duplicate charges.
Minerva Patterns uses Transport Layer Security (TLS), an industry-standard protocol that encrypts sensitive information for all data transmissions. The site is secured with an SSL certificate and SHA-256 with RSA encryption, which is the current industry standard and provides stronger security, replacing the older SHA-1 algorithm. SHA-256 is supported by all modern browsers.
All customers paying by card are subject to validation checks. Minerva Patterns reserves the right to delay any order if fraud is suspected.
Cancellations and Refunds
Since digital downloads are intangible products and each order is a custom request for a pattern drafting service, made-to-measure sewing patterns cannot be returned after purchase. Once processed, the service is considered fulfilled, and all sales are final. Therefore, we do not offer refunds or returns. However, if you experience any issues with the digital files you’ve purchased, please contact our customer service team at info@minervapatterns.com for assistance.
Because your order is processed immediately upon receipt, cancellations or modifications cannot be made. We kindly ask that you carefully review the information entered on the product order form.
Please note that while we strive to provide excellent service and advice, the final fit of garments depends on the selected materials and individual sewing skills, and this is not a valid reason for a refund. Once a pattern is customized to your measurements, refunds or cancellations are not available.
If there was an error in entering your measurements, a reprocessing fee of $2 per pattern will apply. Additionally, if seam allowances were accidentally omitted, a $2 reprocessing fee per pattern will apply to cover the associated costs.
In accordance with international payment regulations, refunds can only be issued to the original card used for payment during checkout.
Links to Third-Party Sites/Services
The Minerva Patterns website may contain links to external websites (“Linked Sites”). These Linked Sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for their content, including any links or updates within them. These links are provided solely for your convenience and do not imply any endorsement or association with the site or its operators by Minerva Patterns.
No Unlawful or Prohibited Use/Intellectual Property
You are granted a limited, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use Minerva Patterns in full compliance with these Terms of Use. By using the Site, you agree not to use it for unlawful purposes or for actions prohibited by these Terms. You may not use the Site in any manner that could harm, disable, overburden, or impair it, nor interfere with others’ ability to use and enjoy it. Attempting to access materials or information by means not intentionally provided through the Site is prohibited.
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, as well as their arrangement, is owned by Minerva Patterns or its suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You agree to comply with all copyright and proprietary notices and refrain from altering any of this content.
You are not permitted to modify, publish, transmit, reverse engineer, transfer, sell, or create derivative works from any content on the Site. The content on Minerva Patterns is not for resale. Your access to the Site does not grant you rights to unauthorized use of protected content. You must not remove or alter any proprietary rights notices. You may use protected content only for personal purposes and must obtain written permission from Minerva Patterns and the copyright holder for any other use. You acknowledge that you do not acquire ownership rights in any protected content, and we do not provide any licenses, express or implied, to the intellectual property of Minerva Patterns or its licensors, except as expressly stated in these Terms.
Limitations of Liability
Minerva Patterns will not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages suffered by the customer or any third party. Indirect losses or consequential damages include, but are not limited to, loss of business opportunities, profit, goodwill, interest, or any obligation to pay liquidated damages, penalties, or fines. The maximum liability of Minerva Patterns shall not exceed the purchase price originally paid by the customer for the product. This monetary limitation applies regardless of the basis of the liability and will, to the fullest extent possible, include claims based on negligence (whether ordinary or gross), strict liability, product liability, and other grounds.
Complaints
We strive to ensure our customers are happy and satisfied. Any complaints should be submitted in writing, along with any relevant documentation, and sent to us either by mail or email.

We will respond within 10 days, either compensating for any losses or providing a reasoned refusal. In any case, the maximum compensation will not exceed 100% of the cost of the purchased items.
Choice of Law
These Terms and Conditions, as well as any purchase agreement between the customer and Minerva Patterns, are governed by the laws of Switzerland.
Disclaimer
Minerva Patterns cannot guarantee that the content on our shop’s pages is free from inaccuracies or typographical errors at all times, nor can we guarantee that all information is up-to-date. We may amend the content of the shop at any time.
While Minerva Patterns strives to display accurate texts, images, and pricing, errors may occur. If the customer is charged an incorrect amount, we will either issue a credit note or refund the extra charge. However, Minerva Patterns reserves the right to cancel any order prior to delivery if we determine that the purchase was based on erroneous information, including incorrect pricing. In such cases, the customer will be notified by email. If we are unable to contact the customer, the order will be automatically canceled.
