Introducing a digital sewing pattern for the classic double-breasted trench coat with functional storm flaps, raglan sleeves, and a detachable belt – Timeless Outerwear with Structured Utility.

WHEN TO WEAR DESIGN 6030

This trench coat brings together practicality and elegance, making it suitable for:

  • Urban Wear: A staple for transitional weather, offering protection from wind and light rain.
  • Professional & Casual Settings: Perfect layered over tailoring or everyday outfits.
  • Costume and Film Wardrobe: Ideal for historical, detective-style, or military-inspired looks.

KEY DESIGN FEATURES

Silhouette: Relaxed, straight fit with structured shoulders and belt to define the waist.

Front: Classic double-breasted closure with six buttons and wide notched lapels.

Collar & Lapels: Traditional trench collar with collar stand.

Storm Flap: Single front storm flap and rear back yoke flap.

Sleeves: Full-length raglan sleeves with sleeve straps and buckle adjusters.

Pockets: Slanted welt pockets with buttoned flaps.

Back: Center-back vent

Belt & Straps: Detachable waist belt with buckle

Topstitching: Visible topstitching throughout for reinforcement and classic trench styling.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY

Advanced. Tailoring experience recommended — includes welt pockets, collar with stand, storm flaps, lined vent, raglan sleeve insertion, and precise topstitching.

SEAM ALLOWANCES

No seam allowances by default. If the option to add them at €1 is selected, pattern will come with seam included.

Dear all,

I live and work in Switzerland, which is in the Central European Time Zone. If you're outside of Europe, there may be a slight delay in acknowledging and processing your order due to the time difference. However, please don’t worry—I will do my best to process it as quickly as possible.

Sincerely,
Anna
