Men’s Sewing Pattern 6052 – Classic Single-Breasted Jacket with Patch Pockets & Double Back Vents

Introducing a digital men’s sewing pattern for the timeless jacket featuring patch pockets and double back vents – Classic Tailoring with Everyday Versatility.

WHEN TO WEAR DESIGN 6052

This jacket delivers structured refinement in an accessible silhouette, making it ideal for:

  • Business Casual: Pairs perfectly with chinos or wool trousers for a smart professional look.
  • Weekend Outings: Comfortable and versatile when worn over jeans or a turtleneck.
  • Seasonal Transition: Suitable for mid-weight fabrics, ideal for spring and autumn wear.

KEY DESIGN FEATURES

Silhouette: Single-breasted tailored jacket with a slightly relaxed fit for comfort and layering.

Front: Two-button closure with sharp notched lapels.

Pockets: Large patch pockets positioned at hip level for a practical, casual finish.

Back: Two vertical seams with double vents for ease of movement.

Sleeves: Two-piece tailored sleeves providing refined shaping at the elbow.

Collar: Classic tailored collar with upper and lower collar construction.

Lining: Full lining for structure and comfort.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY

Intermediate. Precision is required for aligning lapels, attaching facings, and setting sleeves. Recommended for sewists familiar with jacket assembly and pressing techniques.
