Minerva DXF AAMA Pattern 5427
Introducing a digital pattern for the elegant spiral-cut skirt – Fluid Architecture in Motion.
WHEN TO WEAR DESIGN 5427
Not all skirts are designed to simply flow—they can sculpt and spiral. Pattern 5427 offers dynamic elegance with a structured twist:
-
Creative Daywear: Pair it with tailored blouses or minimal knitwear for a bold yet wearable statement.
-
Art Openings & Receptions: The sweeping spiral lines make this skirt a standout piece for sophisticated evening occasions.
-
Modern Office Looks: Worn with a structured jacket, it serves as an elegant alternative to conventional straight skirts.
KEY DESIGN FEATURES
Silhouette: Regular-rise, full-length flared skirt.
Construction: Spiral-cut gores that create flowing movement and dynamic visual rhythm.
Waist Finishing: Clean waist facing for a smooth, uninterrupted line at the top edge.
Seamlines: Bold, dynamic seams enhanced with optional topstitching.
Style: An architectural, feminine skirt merging structured precision with graceful motion.
LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY
This pattern has an intermediate difficulty level and requires confident sewing skills, particularly for curved seams and clean waistband finishing.
SEAM ALLOWANCES
No seam allowances by default. If an option to add them at 1 EUR is chosen, all seams are 1 cm.
Please note: a single contour on the pattern pieces means no seam allowances are included. A double contour indicates seam allowances are included.
